GRATITUDE

thevictorial | December 31, 2021

LUKE 17:11-19

Ten men with leprosy met with Jesus and from afar cried for mercy.

They were not fit to move close to him. But in their distress they cried to the lord.

Perhaps their calamities brought them together and together they cried for help.

Jesus saw them and said ‘Go show yourselves to the priest’
As they went, they were cleansed.

The healing was too cheap compared to what they’ve been through. Pain, rejection and frustration.

And that is it. Most times Gods intervention seem to be too cheap compare to the length and gravity of the problem. So we tend to overlook.
It is an act of ingratitude.

They were all cleansed but only a man of gratitude was made whole.

Its a ratio 1:10.
Meaning those who show act of gratitude are very scarce. No wonder the bible say God is seeking for those who will worship him in spirit and in truth.

If God is seeking for such,it means there is scarcity of such men. If we have like 50% of such men, he may not need to seek for such men because it will be ratio 1:2.

How grateful are you today, especially as it marks the end of the year 2021.

You are not yet where you want to be but i can assure you, that you are no more where you use to be.

Even if you have recorded failure this year than ever, you have also learnt many other ways never to fail.

Thank him,
For the gift of life, for unanswered prayers, for unseen battles and victories. That you are alive is by his mercy.
Enter into the new year with a grateful heart. God is faithful. Hallelujah!
