BUILDING THE CHURCH OF JESUS BY HIS REVELATION

TEXT : MATHEW 15:16-19

He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living,! God

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven .
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

As children of God we are not meant to be his followers alone. There is a need to catch the revelation of who Jesus is to us, by that we will be firm and established in him.

Simon caught this revelation from the father. Jesus told him that flesh and blood did not reveal it to him but the father did.

This mean there is a revelation from flesh and blood which may sound nice. However, there is a need to shift from the realm of flesh and blood to the realm of the father where the big deal is.

This is not the season to settle for what flesh and blood can reveal to us, there is more to receive from the father, only if we can align ourselves to receive his revelation.

The true revelation of Jesus to us can only be revealed by the father and not by any technology or human wisdom.There is a need to catch the true revelation of who Jesus is to us. We can’t continue like this. We can’t proclaim we follow him without a revelation of who he is.

It is in our revelation of him here on earth that his church can thrive.

If we claim we follow him, our revelation of him is keen. So Who is Jesus to you? He asked his disciples about his identity to the world, then he asked them, who am I to you?

It’s high time we move from what the world had revealed him to be, to the level of who he is personally to us. Because who he is to you, is as a result of his revealed portion to you.

This revelation of him to you is your encounter with him.
The revelation of him you carry is what men can drink from your life .

John said, That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;’

As far as Peter was concerned he is the Christ, the anointed one, the son of the living God. And on that revelation, Jesus could build his church. The church can stand and stay. We can not be established without his revelation.

His church can not be established without men and women who carry his revelation. In fact, it’s his revelation that birth his church and sustains it. If we want to see the church of Jesus Christ emerge and thrive then we must be carriers of his revelation.

The bible says in Micah 4:1-2
But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.

And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

If this scripture must come to pass in our days, if the mountain of the house of the Lord will be the highest of all mountains, then there is a need to be carriers of the revealed Jesus.
Because in this last days, it’s a game of Heights.

And for the mountain of God’s house to be the highest, the gates of hell must not prevail over the church. For the gates of hell not to prevail, Jesus must be the basis of the revelation of the church and not flesh and blood.

If his Church will take over territories, then we as his church must be carriers of the revealed Jesus not just empty followers like Judas who because of money betrayed his master.

Peter caught the revelation that his life is attached to the anointed one, the Christ. As he followed Jesus, all he could see was the anointed one, the son of the living God.

In your walk with Jesus, what you encounter is what rubs on you from him and that is what is revealed to you. Once he is revealed to you and you can attest to that revelation then he can build his church.

Because the truth of the matter is, you are the church, and until he is revealed, you can’t thrive.

At that point when Peter caught that revelation, Jesus saw a man who has aligned with the father and detached from flesh and blood so therefore, there is an atmosphere his revelation have created to build his church.

This church, the gates of hell can not prevail over, because it is built on his revelation as a result of a man who has aligned himself with the father to catch that revelation.

The church of God that will thrive can not be established by a flesh and blood revelation. If the gates of hell will not prevail over the church of God, then there is a need to realign ourselves to the father. So we can experience what Jacob experienced in Genesis. He saw the true picture of the house of God (his church). He saw the gate of heaven.

Genesis 28:12-17

And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.

And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;

And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.

And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not.

And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven .

Hebrews 12:22-24

But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels ,

To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

The church that the gates of hell will not prevail, over is the church of the first born, where there are innumerable company of angels just as it was in Genesis.

But there is a need for us to align to receive his revelation so as to create the atmosphere for him to build his church here in earth.

As he build his church here on earth we are built up, aligned with him and his kingdom comes upon the earth through us because gates of hell, darkness will not be able to prevail.

This is what we need this end time season, let’s realign to see his kingdom come. Because the more we align to him, the more his revelation we carry and the more his kingdom comes upon the earth.
