WE ARE ALL HISTORY IN THE MAKING

TEXT : ESTHER 1:1-4

Now it came to pass in the days of Ahasuerus, (this is Ahasuerus which reigned, from India even unto Ethiopia, over an hundred and seven and twenty provinces: )

That in those days, when the king Ahasuerus sat on the throne of his kingdom, which was in Shushan the palace,

In the third year of his reign, he made a feast unto all his princes and his servants; the power of Persia and Media, the nobles and princes of the provinces, being before him:

When he shewed the riches of his glorious kingdom and the honour of his excellent majesty many days, even an hundred and fourscore days.

The bible says in the days of Ahasuerus. He lived in his days and when his time was up, he left the scene. But once upon a time, he had access to his days. He lived in his days, sat on his throne, ruled in his kingdom, located in Sushan.

We have all been given our days. And those days are counting every 24hours.
The truth of the matter is, we are in our days. How are we living our days?

The bible never recorded the things Ahasuerus did before the first three years of his reign, but at the third year, the bible focused it’s light on what he did.

The bible was also detailed about all he did. The feasts he made, the duration of the feats, the caliber of people involved, the decorations, the cups for drinking etc..

Yes we are in our days, but there is a need for us to live our lives as unto the Lord. Because we don’t know the one that will be the major focus of heavens attention towards our lives.

Hebrews 11:4-14
By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him
.
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:

For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God
.
Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised
.
Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.

These were heroes of faith, whose record was brought to limelight after they were gone
.
Their motives were even recorded. Not only their motives, what transpired in the spirit realm was also recorded including how God felt about them and what he did to reward them

Hebrew 11:13-16

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country .
And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.

But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

Just to mention a few. Hebrews 11, is a perfect example for us to show us that we are history in the making

Hebrews 11:27-40
By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them
.
By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned .

By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.

By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.

And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:

Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,

Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:

And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment :

They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;

(Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.

And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:

God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

According to the last two verses, we are their extension. Their works need our works to give them the perfection Mark (100%) their lives is qualified for.

Most people in the scriptures lived their lives normally, not knowing that long after they are gone, generations to generations will read about their lives and use them as a case study.

In the days of the apostles, they only had the old testament to study as the word of God. They were also given their days by God. They lived it out without knowing that some days their lives will be the extension of the old testament.

After them, came the books of the Gods General . Those we call God’s Generals today. Were also men of like passions like us, who lived their lives without the mind of been recorded in a book.

We are also in our days, what are we doing? How are we living our days?

History is coined out of the word ” His Story” .
Once a child is born into this world, he/she already have a story, no matter how short lived the person is.

If you have 24hours more to live.
What will you regret?
What will be your greatest joy?
Will you sincerely say, you are fulfilled?

Either you know it or not you are already writing your own history by the way you live.
The way you do your quiet time in transit while going to office, the way you live to make ends meet ,at the expense of the assignment of God upon your life.

I remember the Lord told me one day, that whatever will not be relevant after death should not be my priority while am alive.

What will you be remembered for?
What will heaven remember you for?
What will the earth remember you for?
What will the body of Christ remember you for?

When your name is mentioned in heaven, what chord will it strike?
