THERE IS A SPIRITUAL UNDERTONE BEHIND THE CLOSED DOOR

TEXT: 2 Cor 2:7-8
7 No, the wisdom we speak of is the mystery of God—his plan that was previously hidden, even though he made it for our ultimate glory before the world began.
1 Corinthians 2:7

8 But the rulers of this world have not understood it; if they had, they would not have crucified our glorious Lord.
1 Corinthians 2:8

Yesterday was Good Friday, always in remembrance of the day our Lord Jesus was crucified.

Humanly speaking it was a bad experience because a good man was murdered but spiritually speaking, it was the best experience ever. That was the day our redemption was finally sealed with God. We were discharged and acquitted for life. Jesus took our place and paid the price for us all.

From the above scriptural passage, The crucifixion of Christ was a good deal for the devil but behind that action was God’s move for The world.

There is always a spiritual undertone to the happenings around us. As Children of God, we need the eyes of our understanding to be enlightened to be able to see what God is saying. Prophet Habakkuk said I will stand upon my watch to see what he will say.

In Genesis 45:5-7 summarize this,
5 But don’t be upset, and don’t be angry with yourselves for selling me to this place. It was God who sent me here ahead of you to preserve your lives.
6 This famine that has ravaged the land for two years will last five more years, and there will be neither plowing nor harvesting.
7 God has sent me ahead of you to keep you and your families alive and to preserve many survivors.
8 So it was God who sent me here, not you! And he is the one who made me an adviser to Pharaoh—the manager of his entire palace and the governor of all Egypt.

And Psalm 105:16-21 confirmed it, especially verse 17

16 He called for a famine on the land of Canaan, cutting off its food supply.
17 Then he sent someone to Egypt ahead of them—  Joseph, who was sold as a slave.
18 They bruised his feet with fetters   and placed his neck in an iron collar.
19 Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the lord tested Joseph’s character.
20 Then Pharaoh sent for him and set him free;     the ruler of the nation opened his prison door.
21 Joseph was put in charge of all the king’s household; he became ruler over all the king’s possessions.

In the book of Genesis 37:14

14 “Go and see how your brothers and the flocks are getting along,” Jacob said. “Then come back and bring me a report.” So Jacob sent him on his way, and Joseph traveled to Shechem from their home in the valley of Hebron.

The bible says his father sent him to his brother, but in Psalm 105, it was confirmed that God sent him ahead of his brethren.

Don’t define yourself by the happenings around you because God is about to make a statement with your life. Joseph understood that, so he told his brothers not to be upset against themselves because of him because God sent him ahead of them. Are you passing through tough times?

I come with a word of encouragement this morning. Don’t give up. God is working for you behind the closed doors.

As for Jesus, the whole world was against him the very day he died, but that was the best thing ever that happened to humanity.

Don’t be discouraged, there is a Positive Spiritual undertone behind that closed door. No closed door can stop you because Jesus is the door and he determines every outcome of your life if you live for him.
